Butterfly Wreath Re-purposed Picture

Have you ever been browsing in a shop and had a 'light bulb moment'where you can see a use for an item in a craft project?  I had that one day in Poundland when I saw a whole load of 8" x 8" wooden pictures in frames for the bathroom.  Not the sort of thing I would hang, personally, but I still bought 15 of them 😏.  Why?  Because I saw a Coffee & Crafts Class in them.

So - here is what I came up with.

This wall decor could be made using any 8" x 8" open frame - so don't worry if you can't find the one I used.  It would be very easy to adapt the measurements.

The wreath was actually easier to make than it looked - by creating a paper template before I started.

If you'd like to have a go at making one of these for yourself, you can find step-by-step instructions HERE

Don't forget to come back when you've finished and add your picture to the comments - I love seeing what my followers make.

Can I Get Excited Yet??

I booked my place to the Stampin' UP! Convention - OnStage - back in August.  Places for our conventions get booked up really quickly, so I was on the booking page on the dot of 9.30am to make sure I got my place.

I've been to a couple of OnStage Local events - these are smaller conventions which run parallel to the main event at more local venues.  So for the UK ones I attended, one was held in Birmingham and the other in Telford.  They were great fun - but this one is going to be MEGA fun!!

My room is booked, the train tickets are booked, I've started making my swaps (that is just another level of fun - making cards and 3D projects to swap with other demonstrators from all over Europe and beyond!) - all I need to do now is work out how I'm going to get all my stuff into one wheelie case and a holdall whilst leaving room for all the goodies I will be getting as FREE PRIZE PATROLS and Attendee Gifts!  I may end up with more than just the two bags coming home πŸ˜ƒ

November 13th can't come quick enough.  I have a mixture of nerves and excitement at the moment - I've not travelled that far on my own for many years.  Oh, did I not mention ... this one is in Dortnumd, Germany!!  I hope I can remember enough of my O'Level German (now that's giving my age away πŸ˜‰) to get by.

On top of all that, I recently completed my 5th year as a Stampin' Up Demonstrator!  SU love rewarding us for our efforts so, in addition to a lovely 5th Anniversary Pin, I have been invited to join the other 5 year Demos in a Stage Walk - plus I'll hopefully get to take a photo with Sara Douglas and Shelli Gardner - I am beyond excited about that one πŸ˜„

If this sounds exciting - you won't believe where the 2021 Incentive Trip is going .... An Eastern Caribbean Cruise!!!  When it comes to goals, I'm a kinda 'go big or go home' girl!  It's not going to be easy earning a place on the trip - but I'm going to do my best to get there!

If you like the sound of all this plus an extra income or just a discount off your own craft supplies, then I'm always looking for passionate crafters to join my team.  Interested?  Check out the info on my Stampin' UP! Website or give me a call.

Well, I'm off to work on my swaps - here's a little teaser but I'll post photos of the finished projects when I get back from Germany πŸ˜‰
