Funky Fold Friday - Tepee Fold Card

So, yesterday I recorded the video for today's Funky Fold Friday and feel so much better about it than I did about doing the LIVE versions.  I felt a lot more relaxed and it helped being able to restart when I messed it up towards the end - thanks to my eldest, Joe, for his help joining the two sections of video together.

The Tepee Fold has been round for a few years, but I still love making them.  All the measurements are below, although there aren't many for this card, along with the products you'll need if you want to re-create my cards. Both versions will need the Send Sunshine Covid-19 PDF download (details in my previous post).  Check out the video for how to put them together.

As always, if you have a go at making one of these cards then do post a photo of your creation in the comments here and/or on the Facebook Page so we can all see them and give you some love.  Of course, you don't have to make a card to post a comment - I love to hear what my followers think about my projects.

So, for now - stay safe and Happy Stampin'

Technique Tuesday - Shadow Stamping

Today's Technique Tuesday features Shadow Stamping. When you stamp onto coloured card it alters the colour of the ink so by using this technique you get a more realistic finish.  You can find the Video HERE

The card on the right with the dog is the one I demonstrated live and the other I did last night.  I learnt a valuable lesson in that you really do need to let your Craft white ink dry fully - I mean to BONE dry - before moving onto the next step, otherwise your Lovely Lipstick ink with turn into a mushy pink πŸ˜–

I'll list the products I used below, but do bear in mind that I have used stamps sets which are on the RETIRING list so if you want to get them, you'll need to be quick as they are only available up to the 2nd June 2020 or until stocks last.  So it's a bit of a Last Hurrah for them and a 'HELLO' from the Stampin' Up Share Sunshine PDF which is our Covid-19 Give Back product.  Check out the details HERE

If you have a go at the Shadow Stamping Technique, then do post a photo in the comments or on my FB page - I'd love to see what you come up with.

Happy Stampin' and stay safe.

Funky Fold Friday - Bridge Fold

I had so much fun yesterday recreating Jan B's Dressing Table card using the Bridge Fold.  If you haven't seen the video, check it out HERE!

I finished the one I was making during the video during the afternoon - it's the one on the left.  I added the sequins I mentioned as the draw handles and also fussy cut some make up brushes, pots and two bags from the Best Dressed DSP - they are the perfect size for this card and I think they really finish the dressing table off nicely.

I also made another card in a different size after watching a video by Juanette Hewitt, a SU Demo in the USA.  This one makes up a 7"x5" card, and I loved the way she had turned it into a craft desk so just HAD to give that a go.  I know the proportions are totally out of whack, but it's not meant to be a true representation but a bit of fun!

I stamped the images from the It Starts With Art and Crafting Forever stamp sets, both of which are retiring so I wanted to give them a Last Hurrah, and coloured them using the Stampin' Blends (on a side note about the Blends, the pens themselves are not retiring but from 3rd June 2020 they will only be available as the Light & Dark Combo Packs and not in individual shades).  I also added a little pile of sequins on the desk from one of the accessory sets we had in this years Sale-A-Bration Catalogue for a bit of extra dimension.

The measurements you'll need to have a go at these cards yourself are:-

Get Your Craft On In May!!

I'm so excited to announce my first 'Class In The Mail' featuring the gorgeous Positive Thoughts Stamp Set to make 10 stunning projects designed by the oh-so-talented Liz Shannon.  She has kindly put these projects together to help fellow Demonstrators keep our businesses running during this uncertain time.

This class has a very short sign-up deadline (sorry for this but I want to get this class started asap) - you can find all the details including how to join the class on my Facebook Event Listing for the Positive Thoughts 'Class In The Mail'.  The class costs £32 for 4 kits (one for each of four Zoom sessions starting Saturday 2nd May) which contain all the cardstock, paper, die cuts and embellishments you need to complete 9 cards and a Pizza Box.  In addition you will need the Positive Thoughts Stamp Set which you can buy through my website - other products such as Ink you can either use what you already have at home, or there is a list of these items on the Facebook page which you can add to your online order.

The deadline for signing up is THURSDAY 23rd APRIL 2020 at 23.00 BST.  Places need to be booked and paid for by this time so that I have time to get in the supplies for the kits, get them cut and prepped, and then get them to you via the good 'ole Royal Mail service. Details for the Zoom sessions will be made available to you via a private FB Group where you can also chat to other participants.

Here are some close-ups of each week's projects:-

(NOTE:- Some of the kit contents may vary slightly)
